Frugal food

One of the ways I have been cutting my grocery bill is through making some of our staple foods by scratch. My husband loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so I decided to cut our bread bill buy buying a bread machine from a local thrift store. With the bread machine and all the ingrediants, it cut each loaf of bread from $2.99-$3.49 to somewhere around $1.00 a loaf. I also found a great recipe for strawberry preserves which is super easy and cheap and he LOVES it!!!! I bought bulk strawberries super cheap at the farmers market and just froze the ones i didnt use.

Heres the strawberry preserves recipe (you can substitute any fruit)
try it for yorself and see how much you can save while having fun too!!!
