"Coupons are money. Period. Specifically, coupons for items that you use regularly are as good as money. You buy the product, you hand the cashier a piece of paper called a coupon, and they take $1 off your bill. Thats currency, plain and simple.

Because its currency, I have great respect for coupons. I wouldn't throw away dollar bills and I'm not likely to throw away $1 coupons for items I buy. If you are not a coupon user now, changing your perspective about coupons is a good first step towards saving big money."
