Ways to cut your grocery bill in HALF!

1. ONLY BUY THINGS ON SALE! When you can get things you use all the time for dirt cheap...stalk up. Sales usually circulate every six weeks so make sure you have enough untill the next sale comes around.

2. Be brand flexible. Buy the brand that's on sale with a coupon, or get the store brand if it's less expensive.

3. Be careful where you look! Many stores put the most expensive items at eye level, so be sure to check high and low on the shelves. And don't be so quick to toss items from the aisle endcaps into your cart. Just because they are there doesn't mean they are all on sale!

4. Sign up for any and ALL store savings cards. It is free and you save big every time you shop! Plus some will send you some coupons in the mail.

5. Store your coupons in a coupon organizer. Being able to plan and find the coupons you need helps :).

6. Only buy whats on sale! By combining sale items with your coupons you get things for rock bottom price.

7. Purchase your local Sunday newspaper. Buying more than one newspaper, same paper or different paper, can improve your savings even if you are receiving the same coupon inserts in each one.

8. Learn how to use the drugstore savings programs. Combine sale prices, store coupons and automatic rebates to get free merchandise every week.

9. Print free coupons from coupon Web sites. Also download electronic coupons to your loyalty card from some store Web sites such as Kroger.com

10. Clip coupons and use them wisely. Don't clip for products you know you'll never use. And try to match up the sales with the coupons. Much success can be found if you look at the coupons that come in the newspaper 3-4 weeks after they are distributed. This is when the stores tend to put those items on sale. Extra savings all around! If the idea of trying to match them up on your own fogs your brain, not to fear! Many frugal and thrifty blogs gladly share when they do!
